Mandarin oranges wrapped in paper
Swirly-colored canes and treats, Little chocolates every day And other precious sweets. Bright parades and Santa Claus And writing lists of toys, Frosty snows and t.v. shows And happy girls and boys. The Christmas tree that sparkles And gifts piled at its base, You just can't help yourself A grin spreads cross your face. Wrapping paper flies about And Thank You's fill the air The endless Christmas Eve is past There's even gifts to spare! Just when you think that this is it This is the perfect day, Your Grandpa takes you on his knee And he begins to pray "Oh thank you Lord, for loving us. Accept our humble 'God Bless.' Now lead us in the right paths Lord As we give to those with less." Gathering up those extra gifts, And blankets mama made, It's time to don your winter clothes And go to other's aid. For those without the chocolates And brightly shining trees, Christmas would be bleak indeed Without hearts to hear their pleas. Show gratitude for all you have And when someone cries, please hear it. Give to those who need your help. And LIVE the Christmas Spirit.
