![]() ![]() Awardicons I have spontaneously given to authors who I feel should be recognized for creating an item that is unique, original or resourceful. I have awarded a wide variety of items, such as contests, poetry, stories, lyrics, articles, journals, art, etc. 1.
John Ashen has created a journal that is engaging on various topics from personal issues to entertainment. He explains his insight in a very intriguing and intelligent manner - he draws the reader in. I also like the title he picked for his journal, which is unique and well thought out. I would recommend stopping by John's port and reading some of his journal entries, you won't be disappointed. 2.
Shaara has created a poetry folder of a variety of subjects that are well written, truly enjoyable, intellectually stimulating, and just very good reading. Please stop by her port and check it out! 3.
I loved this when I read it. Wannabe's article shows inspiration, vision, enthusiasm and a great sense of humor. It goes to show you, if you can see what you want, attempt to go after it, it will happen. Please take a moment to read this, you won't be disappointed. 4.
I regularly sponsor items here on Writing.com for my personal advantage and mostly for other authors to help them gain exposure for their writing. I read DChaino's research comparing the cost of sponsoring your writing here on Writing.Com compared to having your own website and having to advertise your web link on search engines and with other advertisers. I totally agree with the results written in this article - Writing.Com is the best deal! Great job! 5.
I was watching the Today Show this morning while having a mocha cafe and as usual watching commercials more than anything else. Most of what you see for ads is how to loose weight, gossip on celebrities, political parties bashing each other, etc. I got sick and tired of watching all that crap and decided to get to work on my writing, and review a few items on W.C. Ironically I came across this wonderfully written poem. Horsewomen describes with great insight what the world on t.v. has come to and how it effects our lives. Thank you for a great poem! 6.
4Provinces has created a superb book of fun and personal poetry with a variety formats...it's simply wonderful. Stop by and check out some entries, you will definitely enjoy a good read. Great job Carol! 7.
Stormy Lady expresses herself poetically and personally in her journal. There is one entry that brought back childhood memories for me and I applaud SL for having the courage to talk about her personal life. Wonderful writing! 8.
Jacqui has opened her heart and expressed life's challenges she has had to live with, and has put hard work into the research she has written about in "Invalid Item" 9.
I love how Diane explains how to get around Writing.Com while telling a story...it is unique and creative! The story keeps you wanting to read more and gives directions at the same time! Great job Diane! 10.
"Iraq Links and Resources" 11.
I love this title "Invalid Item" 12.
There are a few members who host forums to donate services to people who are in need of help or show recognition to people who have done a nice job on the site. Tigger thinks of Prancer 13.
I just love a good poem. I appreciate poetry that is a story or an opinion of something. Andrea's poem is about effective reviewing and it's explained with empathy. Thank you! 14.
There is nothing like a great poem, and I happily will say that I'm a sucker for wonderfully written poetry. "Mary's Little Rhyming Problem" 15.
When I read Joey's letter, his honesty touched me. It takes great courage for a person to face his demons and to elaborately talk aboout them. Great job Joey! 16.
Amyaurora has done a great job organizing a nice selection of product reviews. I look forward to seeing more of a selection added. Super job! 17.
