FEELING LOW Could it be that yesterday Played an important part On the feelings I have today Tearing at my heart? Feeling low is one thing You may not comprehend; Unless you've been there, You wouldn't know, my friend. There really is no reason Except the sunshine's gone, And I know that for certain Winter's coming on. It's been rain, wind and cold; Dampness within and without.. My bones are feeling brittle, That's what it's all about. So I sit inside and ponder If I really need to go, Or if a snuggly blanket Would be better, and so I'll let the world go by tonight There really is no reason - Why I can't just go to sleep And wake up in a different season! Feeling low, and wishing That summer had stayed on - Just a little longer.. 'Till my feeling low is gone. Countrymom
