FIRST FROST Early this morning I awoke to find That the house was chilly, Yet I didn't mind. I turned the heat up, Soon felt a little better; Looked out of the window To see if it was wetter. No rain last night! I must tell you this Everything was white Like Nature's kiss. First frost had come! Winter will begin Before my eyes, Almost a sin! Yet it must come, I know that's true - 'Tis the season And nothing new!
