FORGIVE AND FORGET My heart has been heavy for awhile, Hard for me to look ahead and smile; I didn't think what you did was right, I carried a grudge with great delight! My conscience said one day to me "Just let it go, then you'll be free!" Sometimes that's easier said than done - When you really truly hate someone.. Maybe not someone, but what they did; I've kept it inside and all my anger hid. Yet I know if I want to be really free I must forgive what they did to me. Today I awoke with a determination To forgive and forget this damnation! I'll look ahead and not look back; I can forgive, it just "forget" I lack. As the years go by, and time moves on I may forget what they did was wrong. Having forgiven them so long ago, Forgetting is the only way to go! Countrymom
