"Unwanted Needs"
(8/10/02 to 8/11/02 - 18 years old) Give me a hug I promise I will Give a hug Back to you Lend me an ear Cuz I need to talk I'll listen, too When you need some help Smile at me When I walk down the street I might be in need Of a light in my day I reach out for help And receive it from friends And when they ask it of me I give all I have Assertiveness Is the way to receive All that in life That I desperately need But scared of sharing My opinions I am Not willing to make A single soul mad So usually I give To others in need While strangled by guilt When help I receive I'm slowly starting To believe in myself But still unsure What I'm all about
