DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME
Setting the clocks - fall back, spring ahead!

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME

Twice a year we get the chance
To live our last hour over;
When daylight savings time comes
And we become a time rover!

I already lived past two a.m.
Now as I set the clock back to one -
I think how lucky I really am
And it is kind of fun

To have the same hour to use
In whatever way I can -
Perhaps mistakes I made today
Can be altered by this plan.

How best to use this extra hour?
I could just sleep it away
Or I could write another verse
And send it on its way.

Maybe I will stop and read
A Bible verse or two;
And say a prayer for humanity
That God will see us through!

For some time we will endure
The winter winds and cold,
Until the time change comes again
To spring ahead, so bold!

For whatever reason,
This changing of the time
Gives us all a second chance;
The reason for this rhyme.
