With Closed Arms
how can we be close if you don't let me in

Your leaving wasn't easy
though the words came quickly
to your lips
I knew I was no longer welcome

you still want to stay close
but you approach me
with closed arms
the arms once used to take me in
         ease my pain
         heal my troubled heart
now closed to repel me out
exiled from paradise
doomed to wander a barren land
alone
