Studying Reflections
By Quizmo LaGrande

Studying reflections..
Sunlight ripples weathered glass,
Dewdrops congeal of liquid past
Evaporating into now.

Gathering strength to focus sights.
No heart left to bear the fight.
Weary days and lonely nights
Converging into now.

Indifferent waves slam the shore,
Battle ready, steady, sure,
Never asking peace or grace,
Pounding sand from stone.

Solace in the surging sea,
Yet, scattered as sand sifts free
With no direction or sheltered lea,
No direction...

home.
