My Poetic Thoughts

The candle is flickering a dim amber glow.
Awakening my senses for my poetry flow.
The dark room soothes my inner feelings.
The candle burns it's reflection is revealing.


My setting is right for my deepest thoughts.
I've been given this moment it has brought.
I'm relaxed as I think for words to express.
My literary visions compels me to confess.


I want to divulge all of my poetic thoughts.
Into poetic stanzas with words I've sought.
Conveying beauty of flow in rhythmic form.
Descriptive adjectives for nouns they adorn.


Descriptive words to depict a literary scene.
Wanting a flow like a high mountain stream.
Writing the picture with the point of my pen.
Showing feelings from my heart deep within.
