In any land I did take place, To hide my worn and tired face, I shed no tear under moonlit grace, I was bound by leather and by lace. No words could escape my dried lips, No nectar from gold I shall sip, For I was mortal, a Fate untold, But I tell this young while others old. I traveled far for a darkened peace, A simple man of unnatural ease, I searched for truth, I searched for sin. My journey's end where another begins. Now demons and angels write all to tell For I lived my life, I lived it well.
