Our Guardian Angel

Notice each stanza is a poem in itself.

Somewhere there’s an angel
Sitting on a cloud
Watching over the tops of our heads.
He intercedes with the Lord
To hold back His wrath
Our sinful ways our angel tries to negate.

We each have our own angel
Who lovingly seeks us out.
He whispers in our ears
To spread about good cheer
In acts and deeds
In all that we do.

Some of us notice
The signs of his nearness.
Our guardian angel
Shows us the way
To love one another
And keep our Faith strong.

Somewhere there’s an angel
Hovering over each one of us.
With spread out wings
He folds them around us.
He tries to protect us
From evils’ tempting ways.

Our guardian angel lights the way.
As we suffer and bear our pain
He’s there to guide us in every way
To evoke love for one another and ourselves
And to bring about universal peace,
Our angel is telling us so.
