MY FRIEND

Did I ever stop to tell you
That you mean a lot to me -
That your words of cheer and comfort
Are the ones that set me free?

You have been a source of courage
When I was just too weak alone -
You have been there when I needed
Someone to make my way back home.

So tonight I decided that
It was time to say "thanks, friend"
Just for being there for me -
May our friendship never end!
