MY MORNING PRAYER

Good morning, God, and thank you for
Another day - I'll not ask for more;
There's so many things you've given me
Most of all the blessings that I see

All around me - the sky so blue,
A few white clouds, a smile or two;
Just grant me, Lord, if you will
The courage to keep going still.

I know my family is in your care;
I'm trusting you - I'll leave them there.
Let me do today what I need to do
And give me strength to see it through.

I've got to go, God, I need to work -
There are duties that I cannot shirk;
But I'll be back another day,
God willing, and come what may..
