Gray and White Kitten She pounces, practicing the angle. She jumps vertically, then creeps forward. She backs away, her dainty paws batting viciously, sometimes sheathed, sometimes not. Her tail whips. Her ears twitch. Her muscles clinch, preparing, preparing. At last she attacks. The fight is short. The victory is hers. She drags her prize with strutting pride, having fought her first major battle with a stray feather found clinging to the screen. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
