Elephant Love
Quizmo LaGrande In love with an elephant; What can I say, The tricky part is To hide him away. To keep him a secret For no one but me; I do like to share But he’s special, you see. Yes, hiding an elephant’s Not easy to do, Imagine just trying To keep one from view! I’ve tried stuffing his trunk On the closet top shelf While amongst the grey suits You can’t tell if he’s stealth. Under the bed, A rather tight pinch, ‘Course no one will notice Height’s extra twelve inch. He sings me love songs And plays guitar licks, Somewhat hard on the fret board But Lord can he pick, And strum up a melody Soft, sweet and pure The songs of which lovers Are eager to hear. He special because He loves only me, (And everyone else That he happens to see..) So I must keep him secret Truth known just to me; I’m in love with an elephant Just visible to me!
