The Girl In the Window
Something I wrote when I was looking out of a window.

The Girl In the Window

As I sit here and look out

the window, I see children

playing and dogs barking.

I see a couple walking through

a waltz of leaves, while thinking

only of their new found love.

As I look on I realize how much

I want to be on the other side of

the pane.

I see poets dreaming of heaven

and what it takes to get there.

I see butterflies tip-toeing on the

smooth petals of colorful flowers

and the wind dancing with the

leaves.

I see the sun rise and the sun set

on new people walking by. I see

them all so clearly, but not once

do they see the girl in the window.
