Written for Dolleys Journey
My cousin, David (who will be 50 next September), spent his early years on a farm that was about 12 miles from Bowling Green, Kentucky. Although he'd never had the chance to see one, somewhere, he picked up on the word skyscraper. One day, when he was three or four years old, he looked up to see a jet plane flying overhead, leaving a streak in the sky. All excited, he exclaimed, "There goes a skyscraper scraping the sky!"
