Everything that is my being
wants me to reach out for you.
But alas this cannot be,
so I do nothing.

A gentle touch, a soft whisper,
A smile on your lips.
More than I could ever want.
More than I will ever have.

A river of closeness flowing.
The current grows ever stronger.
Reaching the deepest depths,
Cresting on the banks of my soul.

Winding within me like gentle ivy.
Maybe some way, maybe someday,
I can find the courage to say...
