East of Eden
soul searching
Rated:

Avg Rating: (5)
I've buried my torch
I'm going away
Taking back all my promises
And lead you astray
Turned my back on my troubles
And left them behind
I don't know where the hell I'm going
But I know I'll survive

Chorus:
Heading east of Eden (I'm heading)
         Losing my innocence (I'm losing)
         I've searched for the Grail
I've tried and I failed to complete the sacred quest
         Heading east of Eden
         Searching far and wide
In need of a friend, to be there 'til the end
and hold me when I have cried

Looking out on the horizon (Look and see)
And see what lies ahead (What lies ahead)
My past is the road behind me
Where I've suffered and bled
What will come from the future?
What lies down the hall?
Will I walk amongst the clouds,
or will I stumble and fall?

Chorus

I'm searching for forgiveness
And I repent for my sin
It's a battle of conscience; there's trouble within
And in my heart's passion
There's glory a-blaze
I'm a lost and wandering traveler
In a solutionless maze

Chorus

Channelling all my anger
Holding in all my rage
My life is long, boring, drawn-out novel
that is missing a page
Take a walk to forever (miles and miles and miles)
and depart from this land (give me a hand)
I'm serving time in a man-made prison
On a clock with no hands

Chorus
