Potato Chip Cookies
by Marilyn Wilkerson

It's holiday time, and to me that means time for baking. It also means time for being with family, time for entertaining. Here's a recipe that uses things you probably already have on hand. Next time you need a quick batch of cookies, try this one!

Potato Chip Cookies

1 C shortening
1 C sugar
1 C brown sugar
2 C crushed potato chips
1 C chopped nuts
2 C flour
1 t salt
1 t baking soda
2 eggs
1 t vanilla

Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and mix well. Add all dry ingredients, potato chips, nuts and vanilla. Mix well. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.

**********

A brave friend tried these cookies using corn chips instead of patoto chips. She said the flavor was different, but still good.
