What gift can I give you Jesus Christ
That would be appropriate and nice
To show appreciation for whatyou do
Helping with the doubts I go through


Being my guardian throughout the year
My best friend my problems you hear
I am poor with little to give as a gift
What can I give to honor my wish


On your birthday you deserve the best
What can I give there is little I possess
You give me guidance everyday of my life
I want to give You a gift simple and nice


You have no need for material things
Nor for what pride they could bring
Very special more precious than gold
With no limitations on what it may hold


There must be a gift worthy of you Christ
Something I have to give especially nice
To You from my heart to last forever.
Above all else the one thing that is better.


I offer you my love on your birthday.
Please accept it Christ I humbly pray.
