A TIME FOR LAUGHTER The family gathered round The little Christmas tree; It had a "Charlie Brown" beginning But was now a sight to see! With blinking lights and candy canes And a Christmas star on top; With great anticipation The children could not stop Thinking of their holiday And what Christmas meant to them; It wasn't just the gifts - It was Christ's birthday, once again! So one little voice piped up "Mama should bake a birthday cake!" The grownups started to laugh And their bellies began to shake. It was a time for laughter As they celebrated the season; For while they all enjoyed the day - They did not forget the reason! Countrymom 12/21/02
