ROLLY POLLI'S ADVENTURE WITH SANTA

Rolly was unpacking from his trip
To the ski resort in Vermont,
He thought maybe he felt hungry
But not sure what he'd want.

A trip to the kitchen
Was what he had in mind;
Then he went downstairs
To see what he could find.

A light was on in the living room!
He wondered who could be there;
He tiptoed over to the door
Saw SANTA sleeping in a chair.

"Get up! Get up!" he cried,
"Oh Santa, you'll be late -
If the children don't get toys;
You don't want them to wait!

"You'll have to help me, Rolly.
I've gotten way behind on this.
My only hope is that you will go
Turn despair into bliss!"

So Rolly joined Santa Claus
And once settled in the sleigh,
Up to the sky and onward
Almost ready for Christmas day.

It seemed to take just a minute
To deliver all the presents they had;
Santa smiled and thanked him
While Rolly just went up to bed!
