A SLIGHTLY USED HEART They say love is best When it's in its prime, I've a slightly used heart But it's mighty fine. I've loved a lot of people Way back in my day, My Or got in my way! When I was very young. I lent it out to one or two Nice young men they were, But none were true! Oh, yes, my heart broke And it took some time To find a band-aid for This heart of mine! Now that I'm old And my hair is white - I dream of love And its delight! So I'll still look around 'Till I have to part; Someone might just need A slightly used heart!
