My First Kiss
There was no starlight in my first kiss. No fireworks flamed the sky. In fact, my boyfriend even missed. Five-year-olds are often shy. They say a kiss is like a melody. But he heard none and hid in shame, Thinking he'd committed some felony, Or that I'd assign the blame. Of course, I did no more than smile. Heaven comes in the strangest ways. I found no discredit to his style. Love is sweet, even when it's play.
