Starlight Sea By Quizmo LaGrande Sing to me, my angel, Strayed so far from home, Sing to me of starlight For your restlessness has shown. Your vessel, poised for wander, Seeks to heal life’s discontent; No weather, deem it matter, No peril, lest repent. Yea, billowed sail and tethered bow Tug juxtaposition’s want. Horizons yet for finding Melodies that draw and taunt. Sing, my darling angel, Of your heaven, not of plight. Bewilder not, my lovely, Sing of seasons, nay of flight. Countless times they've guided, Stars, that navigate your realm, Yet steer imagination By your lonely hearted helm. Sing not of desperation Of a dream to sail-away; Passion soars within you, Love's beacon shines the way. If you must, my dearest darling, Journey with the wind, May you travel safely forward-- Ne’er I wish the stars rescind. Then in tall ships may you voyage, Warm puff prevail and lead, While you voice your angel lyric And traverse your starlight sea. ~~*~~
