TO WALK AWAY Having combined all the experience Of twenty years of passion, I chose to walk away from your love In quite an unemotional fashion. You were limited by ideas Of what should and could not be; You felt that our love was wrong And said you wanted to be free. Passion did not come easily; You never spoke or let it show, Combined with limited understanding; I had to walk away, just let it go. To walk away is very hard If your love is pure and strong; Sometimes what has seemed so right Can be so very, very wrong.
