Confessions
        by Quaddy  (rainangel@Writing.Com)
Starlight captured,
Moonlight ensnared,
Sunlight trapped-
By the light in my eyes
Any time they settled on you.

Heart skipping,
Breath quickening,
Pulse pounding hard-
The close proximity
Of you to me-
Just a head turn away.

Times change,
People grow,
And I, myself, among them.
Yet as I grow,
Mature and learn,
I find myself more in love with you.

I'm not a poet
By any means,
But you inspire me.
Your quirked little grin,
And your ocean-deep eyes;
Your wizened man's wits,
And Chivralic heart
Draw my soul to you.

I would drop my dreams-
Scatter them to the sky
To be in your company.
I yearn to be divine
To earn a life of your love,
My romantic gentleman.

My face does not heat,
My eyes do not glaze
To see you so near my person;
Instead, the moon glows, the sun shines,
The earth continues in equilibrium;
And I sink into a deep comfort
From which I hope I never depart.
