Everyday
Free-style I wrote when I had some strong opinions about my school (and life in general).

Are we truly doomed
to live this way?
Herded around and beaten down
Every single day?

Senseless deaths
Hundreds of anonymous martyrs
Everyone like cattle
Ignorant to the coming slaughter

Now, it may just be me
But it's quite a pain
To have to see this shit
Every single day

Never asked our opinions
Stripped of our choices
Nothing we can do
Because they've taken away our voices

Not a single minute
We can call our own
Prone to succumb to "duty"
Just like mindless drones

Bosses, parents, teachers
"Authority figures" all around
I scream, just hoping
To fill the silence they deal out

Because I can't stand
All their bitching and their nagging
No surprise to find their lack
Of respect and caring

Silently, to myself, I pray
I will NEVER be that way
Never gonna be like them
Not for a single day!

Because as destined
In the end
They will never
Truly understand

These are no longer the days
Of hippies and "pro-life"
At the end of the day
It's a blessing just to be alive

And who's to blame?
They say we'll never know
Then why is our planet
Sitting on death row?

THEY are at fault!
And they NEED to PAY!
Because it's OUR generation suffering
EVERY single day!

Those responsible
Will soon be owning up
Drunken with power
Only now sobering up

It's a harsh reality
And they'll realize it someday
Because it's THEIR foolish escapades
That MADE it this way!
