This poem was written by me in response to a Poetry contest wherein the 8 underlined words were to be used. I wrote this in less than 15 minutes!

REMEMBERED YOU

As the velvet curtain lifted
off my clouded memories,
I began to think of you,
My first, true love!

On that mystical evening,
When I first met you,
My heart fluttered and jumped,
And a new romance was born!

A rose was what I gave you,
A smile was what you returned,
You accepted my kiss,
As our love adventure began!

Gentle passed the night,
Love began flowing,
As we melted into one another,
Our faces began glowing!

Once again I recall that night,
When I held you beside me;
I'll never forget it once:
Its moments I'll forever cherish!
