31 Mar 90 Rebecca Rebecca, you had a way. When you walked by, All were aware of you aura's passing. Your strides were confident And your pace even And your feet unheard And the wind everso gently Would surf the waves of your mane. I used to long just to be The friend of any friend Who walked by your side. I longed and wished and prayed, But it was all for nothing As I realized that your radiant aura Was not fortitude Nor beauty from your smile Nor worthiness of respect, But disdain For us who thought you were better than you really were.
