Reviews
What I expect in a review.

I like reviews to be honest. However in their honesty they should be constructive. There should be positive things said as well as points made about corrections.

A writer puts his soul on paper most of the time and to criticize his writing harshly is to invalidate him.

Reviews should not correct the writer's point of view but only point out technical imperfections and suggest possibilities for a smoother, more congruent piece of writing. This might include better sentence structure, more character description or less, grammar, story impact, or ability of the story to hold the reader's interest.

The reviewed author should come away from his review feeling that he has gained insight to his writing and has become a better writer. After all he has gained a reader's perspective.
