Call Of Memories

V1:
I grew up in the country with nature around
Where the only music was Bluegrass sound
Happy and contented in the life I was living
Where neighbors helped another by giving

V2:
I was raised poor with a love very strong
Dad played his fiddle and sang a song
My Dad was a good and honorable man
He was respected throughout the land

V3:
He taught me well by setting an example
We were poor everything else was ample
I miss the days I learned about pleasures
Bluegrass sound was music I treasured.

Chorus:
Thoughts hidden deep down in my mind
Are memories of another place and time
When I was young and my knowledge told
And the future was mine to have and hold
Then I thought all dreams would come true
Simply by wishing and hoping for them too
When the world was mine without any pain
To explore without cold or any falling rain

V4:
Now I live far away from those country hills
I live in the city with its burdens and bills
I would trade all I have to go back in time
Dream of memories down deep in my mind

Tag:
I'll always have my deep memories so fine
