Chinese Fortune Cookie: "Happiness is an attitude." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “Happiness is an attitude,” the fortune cookie said, Which I reiterate each time I free myself from bed. It’s true many things are improved by a smile So I plaster it on, ‘til it holds; and in awhile I find that I'm smiling, and the problems go away Like a miracle -- but it happens just that way. Laughter is a dose I take every day. It’s as good as vitamins if included with lots of play. And don’t forget the pause to savor all the roses Then choose a hobby -- one that totally engrosses. These are the wonders that revitalize one's soul They undo the stress and make life really droll. “Happiness is an attitude,” the fortune cookie said. And I concur for it’s the goal in everybody’s head. When life gets muddled, and joy seems out of reach, Like the cookie is saying, it’s an attitude to teach.
