Lough Derg’s white fish leap, encased in waves of druid’s wake;
Limestoned Burren alpine flora sighing ‘gainst the shamrock’s push;
St. Patrick lifts his lilting song, celebrating emerald isle home.

Smouldering peat moss - earthen scent in gray stone cottage snug;
Filigree-fine silver mist sifting o’er castle and farm;
Steam waves fresh from Senan’s mug of liquored coffee.

Cliffs of Moher, clutching eagle nest and ocean jig,
Overlook an orchestrated echoing: faerie fiddle, or fife,
Megalithic tombs mumbling solemn promises and monastery prayers.
