Snow Sculpture

One day-- I don’t remember when-- you found me,
A rock of ice, resolute and unyielding,
Lonely and cold.

Then, without realising, you really found me,
Revealed what lay beneath the surface
For you to behold.

Now, for the first time, I have found myself,
Have chipped away at resentments, past mistakes,
Opened wounds of old.

I bare myself to you, eager for you to see more
Of the warm and loving me that you exposed,
The me you frequently extolled.

The rock of ice is no more.
Your love, your praise, your strength and your devotion
Are the tools by which you mould.
