A SILENCE FALLS Through the passages of time, Going back to the days of yesteryear; Through the silence, as in a dream, Comes the memories, sharp and clear. You stand in stony silence As you stand before his grave; As in yesteryear, another soldier For his country his life gave. Passages of time repeated, Another war, for freedom's sake; A silence falls, another soldier And another heart will break. Countrymom 3/21/03
