a poem for my Aunt Cheryl, who will always be my fairy godmother

Memories recalled from my childhood
of baseball games and circus shows
movies and pizza dinners
after summer days of cutting the lawn
my aunt, she is my fairy godmother
she possesses the magic
to make me smile
from talks of stock car racing
or a simple 'I love you' on the phone
