Day 28 (Friday) You are a vampire slayer, tell me about your hard day at work. ("The Villanelle")
I battle Nosferatu in the night, posing as pitiful vampire prey who’s strayed from the safety of light. He cannot resist my manner bright and once upon me, turns not away; I battle Nosferatu in the night. I’m gifted with a special sight to watch, protect, and follow they who’ve strayed from the safety of light. Hearing some suspicious bats in flight, I aim and point the Raid and then I pray, battling Nosferatu in the night. The flying rats screech out in fright and dart about, scared as they who’ve strayed from the safety of light. I wave my arms and shrink my height, wishing I could punch out for the day. I battle Nosferatu in the night, boldly straying from the safety of light.
