GET UP AND GO! There are days I'd rather lie in bed, Pull the covers over my head - And sleep till noon or maybe more; Keep the troubles from my door! Yet if I don't make at least a try To work out problems and get by; The day will be a waste, and so I know I must get up and go! It's hard to leave a house that's warm; It's hard to go out in the storm To face the duties of the day - Surely there is a better way... But as long as I am still alive, To make life better I will strive; I may be older, lost the youthful glow But I know I must get up and go! The day will come when I retire, Stay home and tend to the fire; But I will never feel too low As long as I can get up and go! ** #630580 Not An Image ** Countrymom 3/31/03
