Addict’s Mind

The emptiness is still here.
The silence I can hear
pain is no longer numb
and nights are solemn
cold nights are here
now my nights are filled with nightmares.
Monsters are crawling into my nostrils
try to ignore it, but how much longer can I?
It follows me…
Telling me what to see,
“he’s” telling me how to feel.
Need one more of that high.
Need one more before I die.
Need one more before I rise.
Need one more to fly, just another addict’s mind.
