As bright lights flash and blink,
the showers of coins clink. Crowds of people waste their day, on a pull of a lever or a push of a button. Digital sirens howl and wail, long streaks of winnings fail, and pockets and wallets empty faster than sand from the hourglass. Time grows shorter, and I ache for a quarter; just one more so I can continue my game.
