The best laid plans of mice and men most often gang awry.
Robert Burns THE BEST LAID PLANS The speaker made a mighty show to challenge motivation. “Make plans,” he said, “and work them out for every situation.” His Power Point required my mind to set a goal specific, To shape each day that future time would hold the life terrific. I listened to the hype he spoke, to understand his words. My mind was suddenly distracted by a flock of chirping birds Outside the window announcing springtime, their podium, a tree. Birds have lives of random chance, for good or bad, like me. Life moves forward day-by-day, endless repetition. Choices made in stress or strife defy all definition. Goals adopted soon are altered by circumstance or time. At end of days results emerge, rock hard or dripping slime. ** #604614 Not An Image **
