A cinquain series celebrating the seasons

Springtime:

Earth awakens

from long hibernation;

wears many shades of green graced with

blossoms. . .

Summer:

Lightning streaks rip

slate-gray skies; thunder roars;

after the downpour, a rainbow

climax. . .

Autumn:

Multicolored

leaves; blue, near-cloudless skies.

On the crisp, cool air, wafts bonfire

fragrance. . .

Winter:

Again, the earth

sleeps beneath drifting snow.

In the clear-night sky, stars softly

twinkle. . .

Springtime:

Earth awakens

from long hibernation;

wears many shades of green graced with

blossoms. . .
