I've long sat here with my tears,
staving off a lonliness, wondering if anyone would come near. When he left me, I was daunted with the fear of everlasting emptiness; I've long sat here with my tears. Then there was you, blue yet clear, radiating happiness, wondering if anyone would come near. Silent I sat, dear, noting your contentedness; I've long sat here with my tears. The crying stopped here, and washed away was my lonliness, wondering if anyone would come near. Then I met you here, and you granted me some happiness. I've long sat here with my tears, wondering if anyone would come near.
