Paving me a way to sanity,
you carry me through rough patches. For such a duty done repeatedly, I wonder how I can ever thank you. Though closeness wasn't something we sought, you were always there. And even as the years passed, you were always there. We've gone through our share of problems, yet you never abandoned me. I've been moody, cruel, downright childish, but I know I can be around you. There have been times when we've drifted apart. We always wind our way back to each other. It's been a longer time than we think. Through the years, we've always been friends. Now as an era in my life ends, you're still there, right when I need you. As I seek to end this self inflicted strife, I thank you now for all you've done.
