My Lighthouse
my thoughts on accepting God

My Lighthouse

I once walked in doubt and shame,
carrying only vanity and pride
then along You came
My Lord, my Lighthouse, my Guide.

I once was drowning in uncertainty and greed,
losing myself in tears I have cried
then You planted the seed
My Lord, my Lighthouse, my Guide.

I once possessed feelings of hatred and despair,
living without You by my side
then because of You my life was spared
My Lord, my Lighthouse, my Guide.

I once was full of jealousy and dismay,
refusing to turn and confide
then I saw the truth, the life, the way
My Lord, my Lighthouse, my Guide.
