Words The Most Powerful Drug Used By Man

Words surely must be counted as among the most powerful drug man has ever used. Words are a drug that can heal or destroy a human being. How we speak and what we say may cause people to soar to the highest height or cause others to plunge to the lowest despair. It is a drug that we must use wisely and carefully, but how and why should we use this powerful drug?

We should use this drug to lift up, to edify, to comfort, to encourage, to console, to cheer, and to reassure others. People often are in need of receiving this kind of help along their journey in life. The sick, discouraged, depressed, lonely, and helpless can be cheered by just a small amount. Babies, toddlers, small children, teens and young adults will also benefit when the dosage is administered properly. Words are a powerful stimulant.

We all need encouraging at one time or another, and nothing has the power to lift us up as hearing just the right words at just the right time. We are admonished in the word of God to comfort each other and to edify each other. We can comfort and edify one another by speaking the right words, in a kind manner.

Yes, a dose of this drug known as words, administered at just the right time can be uplifting and extremely healthy. It is our responsibility to try to speak words, which are as sweet as honey and pleasant to the ear. Words must surely be counted among the most powerful drug man ever invented.
