WHAT IS A FAMILY? What is a family, you ask? They are the people that stand beside you, When the rest of the world turns away; They are the ones who pick up the pieces When broken and discouraged you lay. What is a family, I'll tell you That they are the ones who are strong; Who don't give you up or leave you When everything seems to go wrong. What is a family, I wonder, That makes them stand by your side? Blood is much thicker than water; They are not just along for the ride. A family will help you stand taller And face whatever comes your way; They may need your help tomorrow But they can give it to you today. What is a family, don't ask me Or I probably will tell you then, That it's God's way of helping you Trust in His goodness again. Countrymom 4/25/03
